Cordite is the original species design, as a character she is a scientist, mistress, and cave explorer.
Her lore is that she was originally a scientific unicorn, one of her experiments with gummy candy ended up being animated long enough to consume her. As Cordite then as a pony was consumed and her life as an organic being, but her magic transferred and her self as an id took over the experiment's candy body. Upon realizing what this new body could do, she morphed it into what she related to the most, keeping her identity but moving on to even greater things.
Over time Cordite had transformed many of her friends and created new ones over time. These are other members of the species, as a group referred to as the pod.
To many, she is Mistress, to a few she is Goddess or Mother. Cordite won't hold back on experimenting on her subjects, pushing them to pleasures they didn't expect and may never get from anyone else.
Cordite is highly intelligent, her hubris has no bounds and she's not afraid of using others to achive her goals. Yet, she also has a kind loving side to those she finds friendship with. Otherwise she is very transactional and moves on to the next task or plan.

Feral
The feral form of the species is a slight callback to the MLP beginnings of Cordite’s character. However the size is much closer to a domesticated dog than a pony.
